Savvy Investing Send Your Grandkids to College and Avoid the Tax Man by Robert Valentine, Certified Senior Advisor Paying
for a college education may be the greatest gift you can
give. However, it may also be the most costly. It is no
secret that college expenses have been rising at an
alarming rate. According to The College Board's report,
"Trends in College Pricing" tuition has
increased at twice the rate of inflation over the past 20
years (2001). This means in another 18 years parents can
anticipate paying approximately $115,000 for total
expenses at a 4-year public college or about $250,000 at
a private institution (See chart).

These Statistics A
recent American Association of Retired Persons (AARP)
poll found that an average family's life savings would be
wiped out within four months of one spouse's admission to
a nursing home. There are several legal alternatives to
the "spending down" of a family's entire life

family member decline. Simple tasks that used to be
effortless, such as cooking a meal or keeping a house
tidy, can become impossible for someone who is recovering
from a hospital stay or whose strength is declining with
age.
Sex and Drugs Don't Mix by Dr. Whitaker Most adults know that
alcohol is a double-edged sword when it comes to sex.
Yes, it can enhance sexual desire or loosen sexual
inhibition. But it has a decidedly negative effect on
sexual performance.
Summertime.... Time to pull out the grill to cook up a tasty summertime feast. Try this healthy version of the Kabab! Ingredients
Combine the first 6 ingredients in a
bowl; marinate in refrigerator 30 minutes, stirring
occasionally. Remove the green tops from large onions and
cut white portion of each onion into 3 pieces; set aside.
Drain the chicken. Tightly thread 3 chicken pieces, 3
onion pieces, 3 zucchini pieces, 3 pepper squares and 3
mushrooms alternately onto each of 8 skewers. (If using
wood skewers, soak in water for a few minutes before
threading with vegetables and meat). Place the kebabs on
the barbecue and cook until done, turning frequently
(about 15 to 18 minutes). Serve over rice or noodles. ********************************************************
